Test Construction

In this ID topic, we will discuss how to create good true/false, multiple-choice, matching, short-answer/completion, and essay questions. We also discuss how to compute the difficulty index, calculate the discrimination index, and evaluate the efficiency of true/false and multiple-choice questions.

Test construction consists of three main stages-- planning, developing, and implementing. The following diagram illustrates these stages.
